HUTCHINSON — The Bethany College women's golf team finished up the Sterling Invitational on Tuesday, with both individuals finishing in the Top 20.
Arianna Bryant led the way for Bethany by finishing 10th overall. After a first-day performance of 88, Bryant lowered her score by three strokes with a round of 85 to finish her tournament with a total score of 173. She was just three shots away from being in sixth place and only six shots from jumping into the Top 3.
Morgan Nelson also played well for the Swedes. She was tied for 19th after the first round with a score of 97. She moved up in the individual standings and finished tied for 16th.
Nelson shot a 95 on the second day to finish her tournament with a total of 192. She was just two shots away from moving up the leaderboard another spot.
"I am proud of the girls both finishing in the Top 16 of the tournament and both improved their scores today," Bethany coach Jon Daniels said. "They continue to improve with each tournament."
