Central Christian College softball coach Chad Kerr has added another weapon to the Lady Tigers’ arsenal for the 2014-15 season.
Kerr has inked Grossmont High School (El Cajon, CA) standout Cheyenne Reynolds. Reynolds is a senior outfielder for the Grossmont High Foothillers and head coach Jerry Lerud.
Reynolds has lettered the previous two seasons.
“Cheyenne is just great person to be around,” Lerud said. “She is always positive with the biggest smile. She works so well with the younger players teaching and setting a great example as team captain. Her speed will be missed.”
Reynolds will be competing for a spot in the Lady Tiger outfield, an area of the team that has lacked depth this season.
“Cheyenne is another Southern California recruit whom I am very excited about,” Kerr said. “She is an accomplished outfielder who has speed and is very good at slapping. She should come right in and compete for outfield time and eventually be an asset to the upper part of our lineup where she will be a tablesetter. I look forward to working with her over the next four years."
Reynolds plans on pursuing a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Theater Arts. She is the daughter of Tommy and Sharron Reynolds and Ruby Holmes of Spring Valley, Calif.
