BC men netters stay perfect at 10-0

WINFIELD – Another match, another 9-0 victory Thursday for the Bethany College men’s tennis team.

 The Swedes (13-0, 3-0 KCAC) showed a glimpse of why they are ranked among the top teams in the nation blanking the Moundbuilders (6-7, 0-3 KCAC). 

Bethany dominated in all spots, winning every singles and doubles competition. The day was started by Mensford Owusu and Aaron Moses, Jr. picking up the 8-1 No. 1 doubles win. Amir Rahbar and David Barbieri sealed No. 2 doubles with an 8-0 win. Tucker Clary and Andreas Brune completed the sweep with an 8-4 triumph at No. 3.

Owusu cruised in No. 1 singles to a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Max Manley of Southwestern College. Rahbar won his No. 2 singles match in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. Moses, Jr. took care of the No. 3 singles spot with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Southwestern's Michael Bond.

Clary won the No. 4 singles match 6-1 and 6-2 over Logan Bevis of Southwestern College. Brune easily won the No. 5 singles competition 6-1, 6-1. Barbieri finished off the day and the clean sweep of Braden Baker 6-2, 6-1.

This was the fourth straight 9-0 victory for the Swedes.

Bethany will travel to Lawton, Oklahoma to take on Cameron University on Saturday.
