OMAHA, Neb. — Central Christian College’s first two games of the MCAC Crossover Softball Tournament Friday resulted in a pair of losses.

CCC lost its first game 7-3 to Waldorf. The Lady Tigers led 1-0 until the fifth, when the Warriors scored four times, then they added three in the seventh.

Brooklynn Lemons had a double for CCC. The Lady Tigers had five hits total, all by different players.

Kristen Hall took the loss.

Central then played Bellevue, with the Bruins taking a 6-0 win. The Lady Tigers mustered only two hits, one apiece by Mandy Jacques and Dana Dean.

Cristina Insua took the loss.

“We didn't play too bad today,” said CCC coach Chad Kerr, whose team is now 10-30. “In the loss to Waldorf, if it wasn't for two big hits by them, a grand slam and a bases-clearing double, we win 3-0.  The Bellevue loss is only 2-0 if you take away the grand slam they hit which changes the complexion of the game. Three hits and us not hitting well in Game 2 cost us today.”

CCC continued play in the tourney today with games against College of St. Mary and York.
