MOUNDRIDGE — Moundridge’s softball team now has won four games in a row after polishing off Marion twice on Friday.

Baylie Blouin’s single scored Elizabeth Ratzlaff with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh in the first game, as the Wildcats scored twice to pull out a 5-4 victory.

Marion had scored a run in the sixth to take a 4-3 lead.

Blouin and Chelsey Knight had two hits apiece for the Wildcats, while Brooke Holloway drove in two runs.

Hope Wedel went all seven innings to post the victory and all four of the runs she allowed were unearned. She walked only two.

In the second game, the Wildcats erupted for three runs in both the first and second innings, then held off a Marion surge for a 7-4 victory.

Emily Knight was the winner in relief, throwing 3 1/3 innings of two-hit scoreless softball in relief of Ratzlaff.

Michelle Schrag was an offensive instigator by going 3 for 3 from her leadoff spot. Chelsey Knight drove in two runs and Brynne Wedel had two hits from the No. 9 hole.

Moundridge, 4-2, welcomes Ell-Saline on Tuesday.
