OTTAWA — Bethany College’s women’s tennis team was dealt a 6-3 loss Tuesday by Ottawa.
In singles action, Mackenzi Choitz won her No. 3 match, 6-2, 6-1. Also victorious in her singles match was Amelia Fabrizius in the No. 5 spot, winning 8-5.
In doubles action, Kitty Edwards and Michelle Rambo scored the Swedes’ lone point with an 8-3 victory at No. 3.
"Our girls fought hard, but just came up short," Bethany coach Vic Bateman said. "Rambo and Edwards played well in their doubles win. Fabrizius and Choitz got solid wins in singles."
The Swedes are currently 0-4 in the KCAC and 3-8 overall. They host Friends on Thursday.
