GOESSEL — Elyria Christian School’s Moriah Redenbaugh was the lone Eagle medal-winner Tuesday during a five-team track and field event.

Redenbaugh took third in the 3,200 in a time of 14:05.5.

Misha Redenbaugh also had a Top 6 individual finish for the Eagle girls as she was sixth in the 400 in 1:11.9.

The Eagles had two relays place. The 4 x 100 team included the three Redenbaughs (Moriah, Micah and Misha) and Grace Applequist as it took fourth in 1:01.3. The 4 x 400 team, with the three Redenbaughs and Darian Trost, was fifth in 5:18.1.

The ECS boys had a couple of Top 6 individual finishes. Ethan Price was fifth in the discus with a throw of 96-2, while Aaron Porter was sixth in the 3,200 (12:32.3).

The 4 x 100 relay team of Price, Porter, Marshall Williford and Luke Ingram placed fifth in 51.8.

“ECS athletes had several personal-best times or marks during this meet,” Eagle coach Bobby Childs said. “The places were not as high due to a high number of participants in some of the events compared to last week. ECS athletes continue to give their very best, willing to try different events, as we continue to find their strengths in the first year of our program.”
