McPherson College cleaned up when it came to top KCAC Track and Field performers for the past week

Mac’s Arryana Barton, Kaley Kinnamon, Brandon Sherier and Paul Rotering have been named the KCAC Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

Barton, from Sacramento, Calif., earned Women's Outdoor Field Athlete with a solid performance at the Tabor College Invite.  She took first in the triple jump with a mark of 39-9, and second in the shot put with a throw of 40-3. She also participated in the long jump, earning a mark of 16-10 and threw the hammer 97-10. This was the first time the senior had ever competed in the hammer throw

McPherson native Kinnamon won Outdoor Female Track Athlete of the Week with a pair of first-place finishes at Tabor. She ran a 59.57 in the 400 and ran a leg on the McPherson women's 4 x 100 relay team that came out with a time of 4:06.56.

Sherier, of Milwaukee, won the Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after a pair of first-place finishes at Tabor. He ran a 1:52.86 in the 800, which was a new personal best and met the NAIA's "A" Qualifying Standard for the Outdoor National Championships. The time also puts him atop the KCAC. He also ran a leg in the McPherson men's 4 x 400 relay team that ran a 3:23.25, which is the second-fastest time in the conference this season.

Rotering, from Colorado Springs, claimed his third Outdoor Male Field Athlete of the Week with his performance at Hillsboro.  He finished first of 25 athletes in the javelin with a throw of 189-1 1/2. He also finished third in both shot put 48-2 1/2 and Discus  (147' 3/12) out of 29 competitors. Rotering slides into second place in the KCAC in the discus with that toss, and currently leads the conference in shot put and is second in the javelin.
