CANTON — It was intracounty baseball action at its best Tuesday when Inman came away with a sweep of Canton-Galva.
The Teutons, energized by a five-run fifth inning, outlasted the Eagles 9-6 in the first game.
Wyatt Regehr recorded the victory by working into the seventh before Treyton DeVore took over for the save. Tanner Klingensmith took the loss, though defensive lapses led to seven unearned runs for the Teutons.
Noah Tuscan had a double for the Teutons’ biggest hit. Klingensmith had a nice game in defeat with a triple and double, good for three RBIs. Connor Farnham added a double and single for C-G, while Ethan Loyd stroked a pair of singles, good for two RBIs. Hunter Pearson added a double for good measure, as the Eagles certainly had enough extra-base hits to win.
DeVore threw the second game for the Teutons, stopping the Eagles on four hits, all singles.
Blake Druecker smacked a triple and Regher had a double for the Teutons. Jacob Dailey took the loss for C-G, though he did fan five and allowed only three earned runs.
