HILLSBORO — Good pitching stops good hitting and that’s what Hillsboro’s hurlers did Friday against Canton-Galva.
The Eagles were held to one run on the day in losing 12-0 and 11-1 baseball verdicts to the high-powered Trojans.
C-G had only two hits in the first game, those by Nick Bray and Tanner Klingensmith. Bray took the loss on the hill.
Bray had the only RBI in the second game, though the Eagles did total five hits. Connor Farnham suffered the loss.
The Eagles have an intracounty showdown on Tuesday when they play at Moundridge.
