McPherson High wasn’t a very kind host Friday for a junior varsity tennis tournament.
The Bullpups hogged nearly all the divisions, taking three out of four to win the team title with 33 points.
Hutchinson and Hesston scored 26 apiece for second place in what was a strong seven-team field.
The “McPherson Daniels” ruled the singles division, with Daniel Holthus going 4-0 for first at No. 1 and Daniel Fallis winning four in a row at No. 2 for the title.
Price Kramer and Trey Hett stopped four straight opponents to win the No. 2 doubles division. Patrick Munsey and Hadley Hagemen were 3-1 for third at No. 1 doubles.
MHS had two individual entries. Jerome Dishmon played No. 2 singles and was 0-4. Dalyn Chapman and Thomas Smith played No. 1 doubles and were 0-2.
