By McPherson Police Department
May 08, 2014

It is the goal of McPherson KS Police Department to do our utmost to protect & serve our community & those who visit during this McPherson County All Schools Day week & weekend.

With that in mind, PLEASE READ ALL of the following reminders...

Beginning at 6 am tomorrow, May 9th, Main Street will be blocked from First Street on the north end to Avenue A on the south end -no access from Ash Street or Maple Street. (See map in photos on our Facebook page for details.) Traffic will be allowed through on Kansas Avenue (US 56 Hwy) until the parade begins.

Due to road construction, floats coming from West First Street will be detoured to Main Street via Hospital Drive & Second Street.

Look for & pay attention to ALL No Parking Signs -many new/additional signs are posted to aid in traffic volume control for All Schools Day events. (See maps in photos on our page for more details.) Vehicles found in designated 'No Parking' areas may be cited &/or towed.

Put valuables out of sight in a locked trunk or console & lock your unattended vehicle or home.

Be aware there will be increased pedestrian & vehicle traffic in town through Sunday. Be alert & drive safely.

If you SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING! Please report any suspicious persons or activity immediately. You may be the first investigator a criminal encounters –don’t be the last!

Look for MPD & other McPherson County Law Enforcement, Fire Protection, & Emergency Medical Services along the Parade route before, during, & after the Parade. Contact us in person or via McPherson County 911 as you have need.
