LINDSBORG — The long road back is finally complete for the Smoky Valley softball team.
After starting the year 1-7, the Vikings finally have reached the .500 mark at 9-9.
On Friday, the Vikes captured a pair of wins from Kingman, 5-4 and 12-7.
Brynne Stockman was the winner in both games, as she went the distance in the first game and then worked the final five innings in relief in the nightcap.
Hitting leaders in the first game were Stockman (two hits, one a triple), Morgan Loder (two hits, one a homer), Jurnee Gregg (two hits), Carly Kolling (triple, double), Hannah Morrical (two hits) and Keni Campbell (two hits).
In the second game, hitting stars were Stockman (two hits), Loder (two hits), Morrical (three hits, two runs), Campbell (two runs), Kelsie Anderson (three hits, one a double, three RBIs) and Hannah Lemen (two runs).
The Vikings will be home Monday against Sterling to wrap up the regular season.
