INMAN — Inman’s baseball team assured itself of a winning season on Tuesday.
The Teutons had little trouble with Herington, posting 11-3 and 12-5 victories. Inman is now 11-7 on the year.
A couple of four-run innings sparked the Teutons to the first-game victory. Wyatt Regehr earned the decision by going the distance, scattering seven hits. The Teutons were faultless in the field with a big “0” in the error column.
Treyton DeVore was the offensive force with a triple and double.
The second game turned when the Teutons battered the Railers for seven runs in the second inning to improve their lead to 10-0.
Blake Druecker was the winner and he also smoked a pair of doubles. DeVore and Regehr also clubbed doubles.
The Teutons were terrific defensively, with just two errors in 14 innings.
