Newly hired Central Christian College golf coach Kyle Moody has wasted no time in getting prepared for next season.

Moody has signed his first recruit for the 2014-15 season, Keith Cheuvront, a left-handed senior from Seminole, Texas.

Cheuvront is a four-year letterwinner for the Seminole High School Indians and head coach Mitch Shain. He was twice voted team MVP as a junior and a senior, and was a regional qualifier.

“Keith was a very strong player for us the last few years,” Shain said. “He is a great leader and has an excellent work ethic. He will be a valuable addition to [the CCC] program. He is a competitor and I feel like his best golf is yet to come.”

Moody likes what Cheuvront will bring to the team next season.

“After watching him play, observing his on-course demeanor and visiting with him, I am positive that Keith will be an asset to our program for years to come,” he said.

Cheuvront is also a standout in the classroom. He will graduate this spring with a cumulative high school GPA of 3.7. At this point he is undecided on what major he will pursue while attending CCC.

He is the son of Jud and Drinda Cheuvront of Seminole, Texas.
