The commencement exercise for the McPherson High School (MHS) Class of 2014 is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday evening May 17th in the MHS Roundhouse. Admission is by ticket only and doors will open at 6:30 p.m. There will be a live broadcast on McPherson USD 418 Channel 20 and in the main theater at MHS that evening.
Several points of emphasis will help to make this special evening enjoyable for everyone in attendance.
All members of the audience are to be seated in the Roundhouse.
Filming from the top circle will not be allowed. Please provide your own power source for any video equipment, as you will not be allowed to plug into outlets on the outside of the Roundhouse circle.
Graduation is the largest public event of the year at MHS and parking is always a challenge that evening. Please park only in marked parking stalls and then along roadways in areas adjacent to MHS.
Please refrain from bringing artificial noisemakers to this event. Graduation is a ceremonial occasion and should be considered a semi-formal event.
The entrance for handicapped individuals, who will be seated on the floor of the Roundhouse, is behind the building in the area where the carpentry program house is constructed. MHS will have personnel available to assist in this location.
Guests without tickets are to report to the main entrance on the southeast side of the building and can view the live broadcast in the theater. They would be welcome to join the audience in the commons area after the ceremony is completed.
