One vehicle accident Sunday morning sends two to hospital

A one vehicle accident Sunday morning sent two Colorado residents to McPherson Hospital.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 90 year old Earl K. Hanna of Littleton, Colorado was driving his 2011 Toyota Prius on K-61 where it intersects with I-135 when he drove off the roadway went airborne, struck the ground then struck the KDOT fencing.

Both he and his passenger, 79 year old Rhonda K. Hanna, were taken to McPherson Hospital for treatment. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Both the passenger and the driver were wearing seatbelts.
