Vikings' baseball season ends with regional loss

CONCORDIA — Smoky Valley’s baseball season ended Monday with a 17-2 loss to Seneca-Nemaha Valley in the first round of Class 4A Division II regional play.

The Vikings were down 6-0 after two innings before scoring twice in the third. S-MV responded with seven runs in the bottom of the inning to take control.

Tim Ruble and Blake Mitchell stroked RBI singles for the Vikings. Josh Allbright took the loss.

The Vikings finished the year 1-18.
