Little River draws No. 3 seed for state baseball

LITTLE RIVER — Pitching-rich Little River has drawn the No. 3 seed for next week’s Class 2-1A State Baseball Tournament at Great Bend.

The Redskins (18-5) will take on Elkhart (15-8) at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and with a victory they would play at 1:30 p.m. Friday against the winner of Troy (19-3) and Ellis (12-8), who play the 4 p.m. game Thursday.

On the other side of the bracket Thursday, No. 1 Udall (23-0) plays Cedar Vale-Dexter (13-10) at 11 a.m., followed by Mission Valley (17-6) against Colgan (17-6) at 1:30. Those two winners meet at 11 a.m. Friday.

The championship game is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, with the third-place game at 4:00.
