From Coach Bonnie Sue Fisher:

The girls had a great session this morning and came away with 7 out of 9 best times. Claire Denk will swim tomorrow in the Top 8 Finals in  both the 50 and the 100 freestyle. Her 50 time was a 25.48 which is by far the best she has swam this season and good enough to put her in the 6th spot tomorrow. She also smashed her best 100 Free time - going from a 58.17 down to a 55.34 with qualified her 4th in that race.

Katie Wurm dropped 2 seconds in her 200 Freestyle with a 2:12.04 that was good enough for a spot in the Consolations Finals. Katie also had her best 100 backstroke race, coming in at a 1:08.34 which unfortunately was only fast enough to put her in 19th. Although none of  the relays  made the finals cut, team moved up at least 4 places from where they were ranked.

This was the first State Meet experience for most  everyone on the team and I am really proud of how well they handled the pressure.
