Antigua's Lewis signs soccer letter with BC

LINDSBORG — Bethany College men’s soccer coach Shane Taylor is scanning the globe to add to his team for the 2014 season.

Imran R.D. Lewis from the island of Antigua has signed a letter of intent.

Lewis is a native of St. John's. He attended high school at St. Joseph's Academy and college at Antigua and Barbuda International Institute of Technology (ABIIT) and St. Peter's University.

Lewis has played both midfield and defense. In high school, he scored eight goals in 12 games. 

He received both music and sports awards while in high school, and was on the Captain Club's U-15 Senior Team. Lewis has also played cricket as well as competing in track and field.

"Imran comes to us with good experience and solid skill level," Taylor said. "We are looking forward to his impact on and off the field."

Lewis is the son of Dianne Lewis and the late William Lewis. He plans to major in business administration and minor in economics.
