Davis pleads no contest in Stockman accident, will be sentenced June 7

The man charged in the accident that very critically injured Mija Stockman has been found guilty. According to a release from McPherson County Attorney David Page, on May 27, 2014, Jeffrey Paul Davis entered a No Contest Plea to Aggravated Battery while DUI. The Court set sentencing in the case for July 7, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.

Stockman suffered a traumatic brain injury in the December 20, 2013 crash and was airlifted to Via Christi-St. Francis in Wichita. She was later transferred to a hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska for recovery. Stockman was on her way to school when she was struck by a truck that was driven by Davis.
