LINDSBORG — Bethany College volleyball coach Nathalea Stephenson has added an Oklahoma standout to her team for next season.
Chanelle McCormick, of Edmond, has signed a letter of intent with the Swedes.
McCormick prepped at Edmond North High School. She started playing volleyball at age 13 and is a middle blocker.
"We are very excited to have Chanelle as a Swede next year," Stephenson said. "She is a very competitive individual that will bring a wealth of volleyball knowledge. Chanelle has a big reach at the net and can read the court well. She will definitely bring experience at the middle, which we will need after graduating two seniors at that position, as well as her aggressiveness. We are excited to see her grow at Bethany and what she will bring to our team as a person."
Off the court, McCormick was Vice President of the Multi-Curtural Club.
She is the daughter of Juanita and Milton McCormick and plans to major in biology.
