LINDSBORG — Bethany College women’s basketball coach Brett Morehouse has landed a high-level transfer to his team for next season.

Adriane Davis has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the Swedes.

Davis, from Converse, Texas, is a guard who comes to the Swedes from Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton.

She averaged 9.0 points per game, grabbed 2.5 rebounds and had over 2.2 assists, while playing on a team finished 26-6. She showed range by shooting nearly 35 percent from 3-point and 77 percent at the foul line.

Davis’ best game was in January when she led her team to a 65-60 win over Carl Albert State College, as she produced 24 points off the bench.

"Adriane is a huge addition to our program,” Morehouse said. “She had a great visit this spring and made a lasting impression on our players, coaching staff and some of the faculty members in the business department. Adriane will make an impact for us on both ends of the court. She is a knock-down shooter who can also get to the rim and finish after contact. On defense, she has the quickness to pick up full court and the tenacity to guard any position on the perimeter. We look forward to watching her continue to expand her game over the next three years."

She is the daughter of Miesha Davis. She plans to major in sports management while studying at Bethany College.
