Jeff Woodward, public works director, updated the McPherson City Commission yesterday on the 1st street construction, and was granted approval on a request for payment to Ferco rental for the larger crane that was needed for setting rocks with the Front Door Project on the round about at 1stand Centennial. Mayor Brown commented that the rocks sporting signs along Kansas Avenue look good as well.

The public hearing for the Prairie Pointe Rural housing incentive distict lasted only 5 minutes and the commission approved ordinance number 3144. Kelley Hrabe (Robbie) of Prairie Fire Development group out of Kansas city Missouri, made comments during the hearing, hoping construction on the development could begin as early as September if USD 418 and the McPherson county commissioners do not dispute the ordinance.
