The new Kansas Certification Testing Center had its ribbon cutting on Thursday morning in McPherson.

Micah Church is managing the new business for Central Christian College. The business, which provides certification testing for employees at the CHS refinery in McPherson as its initial client base, is going to be a source of employment for students involved in Central's President's Opportunity Grant Program. Church says that once school is back in session in the fall, they'd like to have a couple of different students working part time for the Center in exchange for their tuition at Central Christian College.

The College also hopes in the future to use the center, located at 1207 South Main Street in McPherson, as a testing center for CLEP exams, which high school students take for college credit prior to enrollment. Currently, the nearest testing center is in Hutchinson.

If you'd like more information about the Kansas Certification Testing Center, call them during their regular business hours between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at (620) 504-6389.
