More than two million dollars have already been raised in Phase One of a campaign to upgrade and further modernize McPherson Hospital.

As part of the Business After Hours at the McPherson Opera House Thursday night, McPherson Healthcare Foundation's Chad Clark let those in attendance know that the Caring for the Future campaign is a three phase project. The fundraising goal for Phase 1 is $5 million.

Clark told Mid Kansas Online that the Foundation board has mandated that by the end of 2014 at least 75 percent of the initial five million dollars be given or pledged so that design work can begin, with a goal of having all the funding and beginning construction in May of 2015.

The Phase 1 project is 100% supported by funds raised through the Caring for the Future campaign. For more information on the campaign or to donate, go online
