SALINA — Inman’s Dylan Teeter followed up his first nine of 37 on Tuesday with a 39 on Wednesday to finish with a two-day, 18-hole total of 76 in the Kansas Golf Association Junior Section Championships at Salina Muni.
Teeter, who plays out of McPherson’s Turkey Creek Golf Course, wound up tied for third place in the Under-11 division with first-day leader Will Hedges of Lawrence. Parker Krob of Plainville shot a two-day 74 to take individual honors.
Teeter has a roller-coaster round, starting with a birdie on his first hole and also had a birdie in his fourth hole. But back-to-back double-bogeys on his third and fourth holes basically derailed his championship chances.
He had three birdies in the tournament. Salina Muni was set up at a distance of 4,665 yards for the younger players.
