OU picked to win Big 12; KSU 3rd

Oklahoma is the overwhelming choice by the media to win the Big 12 football race this season, according to the annual preseason poll released today.

The Sooners received 47 of the 56 first-place votes, with the other nine going to defending champion Baylor.

OU totaled 548 points and Baylor 508. Kansas State was a distant third with 377 and Kansas was the near-unanimous choice to finish last with 63.

4. Texas, 376

5. Oklahoma State, 312

6. Texas Tech, 308

7. TCU, 297

8. West Virginia, 170
