The voting for the seventh annual “Catchy Awards” is heading into the home stretch.

Friday is the deadline to cast your ballot by going to CatchitKansas.com.

McPherson High is represented in three categories — Ryan and Peter Horton for the top tennis player/doubles team, Kyler Kinnamon for the top basketball player and the boys basketball team for the top team of the year.

When the most recent voting update was announced, the Hortons were in first place in their category, but Kinnamon was trailing for top basketball player and the Bullpup basketball team was lagging behind Buhler’s football team.

McPherson fans are asked to cast a wave of votes today and Friday to put their players and team over the top. Results will be announced sometime next week.

Hesston’s Ryan Schadler is up for top football player as well as top track and field athlete of the year. The Swather girls basketball team is up for Class 3A Team of the Year, and Hesston High is up for Story of the Year as it brought home three state championships.

Get out and vote.
