LINDSBORG — Bethany College baseball coach Andrew Bartman continues to stockpile talent.

Overland Park’s Zach Young became the latest signee for Bartman and the Swedes.

Young, who is being labeled as a utility player, comes to Bethany from Blue Valley West High School, where he played for three years. Young also played summer baseball for the Natural Baseball Academy for two years and for the KC Sluggers for one year.

"Zach is a very versatile player that can serve a variety of roles for us," Bartman said. "His athleticism and ability to move around will no doubt contribute to our lineup. Once Zach gets in our strength program, I think we will really begin to see gains for him offensively as well."

Young is the son of Robby and Amy Young. He plans to major in business administration while at Bethany College.
