LINDSBORG — Houston, Texas’ Dominique Davis recently signed a basketball letter of intent with the Bethany College Swedes.

Davis, from South Houston High School, also played two years at Northwood University in Cedar Hill, Texas.

In high school, Davis also played soccer, earning first-team All-District honors.

She was a three-year varsity starter in basketball and played all four years on the varsity team. She was a first team All-District player her senior year. She was also a co-captain on her team as a senior.

"We are happy to welcome Dominique Davis to Bethany College and our women's basketball program," Bethany coach Brett Morehouse said. "She can play both the guard and forward positions, can stretch defenses with her ability to shoot 3-pointers, and also brings two years of college playing experience to our relatively young roster. Dominique is hungry for an opportunity to prove herself on the basketball court and we look forward to watching her compete for minutes this fall."

She is the daughter of Derrick Davis and Jasmin Bowie. She had a 3.8 grade point average and will study business.
