Bradstreeet to coach MHS girls swimming team

Abby Bradstreet has been named as the new McPherson High head girls swimming coach.

Bradstreet is already familiar with the some of the swimmers after having served as an assistant coach this summer for the McPherson Aquapups.

She also has coached the Manhattan Marlins and Garden City Seahawks’ summer programs.

She is a Garden City High School graduate, where she was a member of the swim team.  She was a team captain, state qualifier, school record-holder and earned All-Conference and All-Area honors.  

She is a Kansas State graduate, earning a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, minoring in Leadership Studies and Kinesiology.  She also earned endorsements in English as a Second Language, Physical Education and Health and coaching.  She teaches fifth grade for USD 418 at Eisenhower Elementary School.

According to MHS Athletic Director Shane Backhus, the boys swimming coach position has not yet been filled.
