The City of Moundridge is getting a new water tower. The Moundridge City Council earlier this month approved a contract with Caldwell Tank, Inc. out of Tennessee to construct a new 400,000 gallon water tower in the northwest part of Moundridge for a cost of $959,000.

The pre-construction meeting is still to be held, but as of the last time Moundridge City Administrator Randy Frazer talked to the contractor, they were hoping to begin the concrete work for the foundation as early as November. The project will take about a year to complete.

Moundridge currently has two smaller water towers, this one tower will replace both of those.
