McPherson College midfielder Oscar Cortez, a unanimous All-KCAC pick last season, headlines the conference’s preseason men’s soccer team announced on Thursday.

Last year, Cortez appeared in 18 games for the Bulldogs. He scored three times and added four assists. He is one of only two players listed on the preseason team who also received 2012 KCAC first-team accolades (Jalen Getting, Sterling).

Bethany College was well represented by the troika of midfielder Lucas Procopio, forward Luis Fernando and defender Angel Figueroa.

Kansas Wesleyan led the team with four selections, including Jesse Lennon, Mario Villafana, Adrian Hernandez and Blessing Ngwa.

Also chosen were Bransyn Felty of Tabor, and Lucas Coelho and Alberto Ruiz of Friends.
