City, County to learn more about Mohawk Road interchange Thursday

McPherson County and city officials will be part of an event with Kansas Department of Transportation Secretary Mike King at 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon at Krehbiel's Specialty Meats at 1636 Mohawk Road in McPherson County to provide more details on construction of a new interchange north of McPherson off of I-135.

According to the Kansas Department of Transportation's website at ksdot.org, the project is slated for an estimated start date of December 1, 2015, with an estimated end date of December 29, 2016. The project is estimated at 8.3 million dollars for the interchange alone, and along with the connecting road improvements, the total cost of the project is estimated at 14.6 million dollars.
