WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Florida was very, very good to the McPherson College women’s volleyball team this weekend.

And we’re not just talking about the beaches.

The Bulldogs, who won two matches here on Friday in the Palm Beach County Volleyballfest, made it three-for-three before losing their final match on Saturday for a 3-1 trip.

Mac, now 4-1 overall, blanked Concordia College of Alabama, 3-0. The scores were 25-21, 25-17, 25-15.

Expected All-KCAC pick Cortlyne Huppe dominated with 15 kills. Phoebe Barton came up with 31 assists and Emily Warner dug it out 16 times for a team high.

Mac’s season-opening winning streak was scissored at four with a 9-25, 13-25, 22-25 loss to Northwood University. No stats were available.

Mac begins KCAC play Wednesday when it hosts Sterling at 7 p.m. at the Sport Center.
