Lewis sparks Mac women to first soccer victory

DENVER — It was a goal-fest Sunday for the McPherson College women’s soccer team.

The Bulldogs erupted early and often to cruise to a 5-1 victory over Dakota Wesleyan to even their record at 1-1.

Cyndy Lewis scored two goals for the Bulldogs, giving her three in the first two games. Other goals were scored by Heather Diamond, Rebe Gallegos-Romero and Gabriela Navarro.

Lewis also had two assists, with Kayla Burke recording the other.

The Bulldogs jumped out quickly to lead 3-0 at the half and continued their impressive offensive performance in the second half.

Dakota Wesleyan’s only goal came in the second half. 

Mac turns around and plays this afternoon against Johnson & Wales.
