DENVER — Little separated McPherson College’s women’s soccer team and Johnson and Wales on Monday.
Both teams fired off 22 shots. Both teams wound up scoring one goal.
So after 110 minutes including the two overtimes, the teams ended right where they started.
Mac scored in the game’s 33rd minute when Rhea Vale headed in a corner kick from Breelyn Petty.
The Bulldogs held on to that lead until the 87th minute when the hosts finally broke through.
Caitlyn Blagrave started in goal for Mac and played for a half before Tori Verdieck came on after the break, coming up with seven saves.
Mac, now 1-1-1, hosts Midland University on Saturday.
