LINDSBORG — A four-goal outburst against Central Christian College propelled Bethany College’s Sarah Henderson to KCAC Offensive Player of the Week soccer honors on Tuesday.

Henderson is a sophomore from Lake Forest, Calif., and is coming off a year in which she was the KCAC Freshman of the Year.

In Bethany's 2-1 loss to the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma on Aug. 28, she scored the lone Swede goal. Against Central a couple of days later, she erupted for four goals and two assists in a 9-0 victory.

"Give Sarah Henderson the ball at her feet and she will give you a goal-scoring play," Bethany coach Sean McMannis said. "With five goals and two assists in two games, she rarely misses a chance to punish a defense. It's players like her that can change the whole game."

The Swedes return to action on Friday at NAIA 24th ranked Benedictine College in Atchison. Game time is 5 p.m.
