BETHANY, Okla. — For the Central Christian College volleyball team, it was the big one that got away.

The Lady Tigers stunned touted Southwestern Christian in the first two sets Thursday, 25-22 and 25-23, but could never put the Eagles away. CCC dropped the final three sets 25-10, 25-20 and 15-9.

Due to a computer crash at the match site, no stats were available.

“We need to learn how to finish,” a disappointed CCC coach Christina Ludwick said. “When we're up 2-0 on a good team, we can't give them a chance to regroup."

The Lady Tigers, now 1-3, are in Dallas Saturday to play St. Thomas of Houston and Dallas Christian.
