MAIZE — McPherson High’s soccer team presented coach Chris Adrian and his wife Natalie the best possible present for the birth of their child.
Under the guidance of assistant coach Marc Seller, the Bullpups breezed by Maize South 4-0 on Thursday in the consolation round of the Maize South Invitational.
Andric McGill notched a hat trick for the Bullpups and Jose Arriola had the other, and also notched an assist.
The Bullpups dominated the action to the point that goalie Sam Minnick had to make only two saves.
“We showed marked improvement from prior performances in many aspects of play, including ball possession, intensity, aggression, communication and team defense,” Seller said.
MHS improved to 2-1-1 and will play for fifth place on Saturday.
