MOORE, Okla. — Central Christian College’s men’s soccer team improved to 3-1 on the season by ringing the bell five times against Hillsdale Baptist.

The 5-1 rout was punctuated by three first-half goals as the Tigers overcame an early Hillsdale tally to dominate the rest of the way.

Joshua Taylor scored a pair of goals for the Tigers, while others were scored by Oscar Pizano, Jeremy Brooker and Oscar Guidino. Brooker finished the game with two assists, while Taylor and Takhiro Koga had the others.

Luis Soto was the winner in goal, with Ben Hartzell playing the final 25 minutes.

“Solid performance all around from the guys,” CCC coach Aaron Hoxie said. "I was happy to come in and get the job done from the beginning, despite giving up an early penalty."

Hoxie was able to empty his bench and take a long look at some of the players who haven’t logged as many minutes.

"Lots of minutes for everyone in this one, which was good to see” Hoxie said.

Central hosts KCAC member Bethel College on Wednesday, with match time 8 p.m. A women’s game starts at 5:30.
