ANDALE — McPherson High’s ninth-grade football team passed its most severe test in two years on Monday.

The Bullpups, undefeated as eighth-graders and winners of their first game this year, were pushed by Andale 44-30 in a road challenge.

MHS simply had too much offense. It was a big night for Wyatt Seidl, who ran for a pair of scores and caught a pair of 2-point conversions from Mason Alexander.

Andrew Powell added two TDs as well and ran in for a deuce. Austen Hunt and Jayse Alexander got into the touchdown act as well. Brian Puhalla also caught a 2-pointer from Alexander.

McPherson will attempt to push its record to 3-0 on Monday when its hosts Augusta at 4:15 p.m.
