HESSTON — McPherson High’s ninth-grade C-team took to the volleyball court Monday night and came away with a split.
The C-team lost to Trinity Catholic’s freshman team in straight sets (12-25, 12-15), but came back to outlast Hesston’s C-team in three ((18-25, 25-22, 15-11).
“We had a lot of fun and played very hard,” MHS coach Emile Blakesley said. “It was fun watching them get there serves over, moving to the right spots and even having some of them step up and be leaders. I really think it was a great experience for our girls.”
