LINDSBORG — Bethany College’s volleyball team continues to search for that elusive first KCAC victory.

The Swedes are now 0-3 after losing a 3-1 verdict Wednesday to Saint Mary. The Swedes started well with a 25-17 success, then the Spires won 25-12, 25-16, 27-25 to get out of town with the win.

"We need to get everyone healthy and get back to playing the way we know they can," Bethany coach Nathalea Stephenson said. "It is hard when you don't have four varsity players and trying to put a group together."

Bryanna Cool had 12 kills to lead the Swedes. She also added four digs and an assisted block. Shandy Wilcox recorded nine kills, three digs and three assisted blocks. Chanelle McCormick furnished seven kills while having a solo block and assisting on another block. Whitney Williams handed out 25 assists, along with seven digs and five kills. Conner Stolley led the defensive stats with 28 digs.

The Swedes are 3-9 overall. They play at Sterling on Saturday.
