LINDSBORG — Smoky Valley’s volleyball team was involved in a pair of triangulars this week.
At Great Bend on Monday, the Vikings split their matches. They took Class 5A Great Bend to three sets, winning the first 26-24 before losing 21-25, 15-25.
The Vikes bounced back and took out Russell in straight sets (25-22, 25-15).
Tuesday, the Vikings hosted a triangular and with two wins, pushed their record to 6-8 as they continue to show improvement under first-year coach Allison O’Neil.
The Vikings defeated Larned (25-18, 25-20) and Halstead (25-14, 25-15).
Smoky Valley goes to Pratt Tuesday.
