Bellevue spikers too tough for CCC

Bellevue University took down Central Christian College’s volleyball team in straight sets here Friday.

The Lady Bruins were dominant in 25-12, 25-16, 25-13 decisions. The loss dropped the Lady Tigers to 4-8.

Mayuko Shono threw down 10 kills for CCC, while Hannah Crandall supplied 17 assists. Sierra Sandoval was the dig leader with 11.

“Bellevue has always been a strong program and I give them all the credit of keeping us out of the match,” CCC coach Christina Ludwick said. "We had some positive moments, but overall were just outmatched in all aspects of the game."

CCC plays today at Friends in Wichita. Match time is 5:30 p.m.
