OMAHA, Neb. — McPherson College’s women’s soccer team could not build on its late-game momentum.

Down 1-0 to College of St. Mary in the second half on Saturday, Gabriela Navarro scored for the Bulldogs to tie the game, but the Flames were able to connect in overtime for a 2-1 victory.

Mac fell to 2-5-1 with one nonconference game left to play.

It took College of St. Mary only one minute to score the winning goal in the 10-minute extra session.

Tori Verdieck came up with a whopping 10 saves in goal for the Bulldogs, while Navarro led Mac in shot attempts with five.

Mac wraps up the pre-KCAC portion of the schedule today against Bellevue University, with the action to begin at 1 p.m.
