OMAHA, Neb. — Back-to-back games may have deadened the legs of McPherson College’s women’s soccer team on Sunday.

The Bulldogs, having just played a tough overtime game 24 hours earlier, were a step behind Bellevue University all day in a 5-1 loss.

Mac trailed only 2-1 at the half, with the goal by Rhea Vale, but the Bruins peppered the tiring Bulldogs for three second-half goals.

Tori Verdieck was kept busy in goal for the Bulldogs, turning back seven shots.

Mac finished the non-con portion of the schedule with a 2-6-1 against top-notch competition. It takes a break as the next game isn’t until Oct. 4 when it opens conference play at Bethel.
